Chanukah is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights, ” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods. The Hebrew word Chanukah means “dedication, ” and is thus named because it celebrates the rededication of the Holy Temple. Chanukah begins on the eve of the 25 of Kislev and continues for eight days. Here in Las Vegas, we love to do Chanukah with some "Vegas Flair." From Menorah Lightings on Fremont Street, the Venetian, T-Mobile Arena and other exciting places across the valley to dancing Dreidels and parties for Young Jewish Professionals we are sure to have a Chanukah celebration that suits you!
