Chabad of Southern Nevada is a nonprofit Jewish organization at 1261 Arville Street, Las Vegas, NV 89102. This policy explains what information we collect through chabadlv.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, subscribe to our emails, register for an event, make a donation or place an order, we collect the details you enter — such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any message or dedication you include.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site. We use cookies and similar tools to do this (see Cookies & analytics below).
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your questions, process donations, orders and event registrations, send receipts and confirmations, share news about programs and holidays you’ve asked to hear about, and improve our website.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Donations & payments
Donations and purchases are processed securely by Stripe. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our website or seen by our staff.
We keep a record of your gift — your name, contact details, amount and date — so we can send you a tax receipt and maintain our records as a nonprofit. If you set up a monthly donation, you can change or cancel it at any time by contacting our office.
Emails & communications
If you subscribe to our weekly email or give us your email when you donate or register, we may send you Shabbos times, holiday information and event announcements. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Our email list is managed by a trusted email service provider.
Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run our website and programs — such as our payment processor, email platform, website host and form tools — and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies to keep the site working (for example, remembering items in your cart) and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Analytics data is reported in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as the shopping cart and donation forms, may not work without them.
Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Enrollment for Desert Torah Academy and Torah Tots is handled directly by the schools.
Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and secure, reputable service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.
Your choices
You may ask us to update, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you communications, by contacting us using the details below. We will keep donation records where required for tax and legal purposes.
